Today we used the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to examine samples sent by Ecoalf. These included remarkable examples such as recycled polyester, recycled cotton, fabrics made from discarded fishing nets, and even fibers created from coffee grounds.
The analysis took place at the Advanced Microscopy Laboratory (LMA) at the University of Zaragoza, with access provided by the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragón (INMA) and the support of Gala Simón.
SEM imaging allows us to capture high-magnification details that reveal the structure of these recycled materials. The results help us better understand their properties and move forward in the pursuit of more innovative and sustainable fashion.
