We have created a new outreach activity as part of the IMASUS project!

One of the aims of IMASUS is to bring innovation in sustainable materials closer to students and other audiences. To support this, we have created an outreach kit focused on sustainable fashion.

The kit brings together some of the materials we have collected throughout the project, creating a practical way to explore sustainable textiles.

What can we find inside?

  • Material catalogues, made up of individual cards that can be seen and touched. On the back of each card, we include information about the material, together with an image or micrograph when available.
  • A digital magnifying glass, which allows us to observe the materials in greater detail and discover their structure in a more visual way.

The idea is to make the activity practical and accessible: to touch the materials, observe them and learn more about what is behind each one.

It has been especially interesting to bring together materials from different manufacturers and discover the variety of alternatives currently available in sustainable textiles.

Thank you to all the participants who collaborated with IMASUS by sending us their samples. This resource would not have been possible without their contribution.

Now it is time to take this kit to new activities and continue bringing science, materials and sustainable fashion closer to more people.
