IMASUS has launched a Materials Open Call to identify and support innovative textile materials contributing to a more sustainable and circular fashion system.
The call invites designers, researchers, labs, startups, and material innovators to share materials that challenge current production models and explore new ways of designing, producing, and scaling textiles responsibly.
Rather than focusing only on finished products, the IMASUS Materials Open Call aims to better understand materials themselves: their composition, performance, challenges, and potential applications. Selected contributions will become part of the IMASUS materials ecosystem, connecting scientific research, creative practice, and industry needs.
Participants may gain visibility through the IMASUS digital materials platform and, for those submitting physical samples, access to scientific micro-analysis and inclusion in the physical material library hosted by project partners.
The call is open until 28 February 2026, with early submissions prioritised for initial platform releases, analysis, and case studies.
